Reading is not just a solitary activity; it can be a gateway to connection, discussion, and community. If you’ve ever found yourself lost in the pages of a book, yearning to share your thoughts with others, then joining a book club might be the perfect solution for you.

About The Book Coven
The Book Coven is a low-stakes, low-maintenance, highly magical book club. No pressure. No guilt. Just good books, good company, and the occasional group emotional spiral over fictional people who have done nothing to deserve our loyalty, but here we are.
Reading is usually treated like this quiet, solitary little thing, and sometimes it is. Sometimes you want to be left alone with your book, your drink, and your emotional damage. Respect.
But sometimes you finish a chapter and immediately need someone else to understand what just happened. Sometimes a book is better when you have people to talk about it with, scream about it with, or sit beside while admitting you are only 12 pages in and operating on vibes.
That’s what this club is.
A place to read.
A place to talk.
A place to find new books you may not have picked up on your own.
A place to meet people who also think fictional characters are a valid reason to lose sleep.
We read a little bit of everything, but our cauldron usually bubbles with:
🔍 Mystery
🐉 Fantasy
🌶️ Spice
📚 And anything else the group votes in because we do what we want lol
One of the best parts of a book club is that it gets you out of your normal reading rut. You might be a fantasy person who accidentally falls into a mystery. You might swear you “don’t read spice” and then suddenly have opinions (literally me, IYKYK). You might pick up something you never would have chosen by yourself and either love it, hate it, or spend the entire meeting explaining why the main character needed therapy and a friend who tells her no.
Here’s what you actually need to know:
🕯️ This club is low pressure, low stress, and zero shame. Can’t finish the book or simply don't want to? Show up anyway. Forgot the meeting? Catch the next one. Read half the book and then got personally attacked by life? Same. Life is hard enough. We are not adding homework to it!!
💬 The group chat is always open. Chaos, check-ins, memes, life updates, book recs, plot twist reactions, fictional character screaming, all of it. Pop in. Say hi. Drop a meme. Ask what we’re reading. Tell us what you’re reading. Lurk until you’re ready. We are not scary, just dramatic about books.
📅 Meetings are casual and chill. Usually full of laughs, sometimes (most of the time) snacks if we are lucky, and absolutely no requirement that you show up with annotated tabs and a thesis statement (or at all LMAO). Come when you can. Miss when you need to. We will still be here.
📖 Haven’t read the book? Who cares. Come for the vibes. Seriously. Some people binge the whole thing in one night (*cough cough* Katie, again IYKYK). Some people show up with 12 pages read and confidence. Some people forget what book we picked but still bring good commentary. This is the vibes.
The point is not perfection. The point is connection.
Come for the books. Stay for the unhinged commentary. 🖤📚
